here's what i learned in the express today:
cornhole is not just a dirty word. it is also a game popular in a state that has been getting a lot of press lately, ohio. it is basically a beanbag toss, but the beans are corn kernels. the target is a wooden board with a hole and, oddly enough, it's becoming a phenomenon. cornhole enthusiasts play in their backyards or while tailgating, and have even started the american cornhole association, which hosts tournaments and states the official rules. mike whitton, founder and president of the association, said the game has caught on because, "about the worst thing that could happen is you could spill your beer." sound like a tragedy to me considering that, in ohio, if you don't have a brewski in your hand you might as well be wearing a dress.
